Carat and karat
Carat (ct) measures a diamond's weight. One carat is 0.2 grams. Karat (k) measures gold purity, such as 22k or 24k.
Two diamonds of the same weight can look different in size, because cut and shape change how large a stone appears. A well cut stone usually looks larger for its weight. Bring your stone to us and we will happily appraise it.
